Dear
Friends,
There was much discussion...should
we keep the store open the day after
Thanksgiving? Would anyone show up to
shop? Surely, anyone out that day would be
at the Black Friday sales in the traditional
stores...
Well, we had
enough volunteers available to open the doors at
the Animal Lifeline Thrift Shop on Black Friday,
so we worked our regular hours, and there was
more reason to be thankful by closing
time...
IT WAS THE
2ND BIGGEST SALES DAY EVER
AT THE ANIMAL LIFELINE
THRIFT SHOP!
Many thanks
to those who came out to make the day such a
success!
Now, all of that said, we need to see more
shoppers on a day-to-day basis. There are
some very slow sales days, and counting the
register drawer is a dismal process.
Because
sales have been slow and we have a LOT of
inventory, we are having a SALE next
week:
From December
8-12, WOMEN'S & MEN'S JEANS, PANTS, and
LONG-SLEEVED SHIRTS &
SWEATERS ARE ALL
$1.00 EACH! (upmarket selections not
included)
Our prices are low, but we know times are
tough, so in the red block at the end of this
newsletter, we are posting a reminder of all the
great savings opportunities available at the
thrift shop. Please come in to shop our
incredible selection of generously donated
merchandise and help us save more animal
lives!
Don't forget that we will be holding
our Animal Enrichment Workshop at Delaware Valley
College this Monday evening -- more details later
in the newsletter. Our last class was a lot
of fun and packed with information, and we hope to
have a great turnout as we learn more about Toys
& Activities to Nurture Your
Dogs!
I hope you are all enjoying
the holiday season... as I write this, the snow
is coming down and it's really starting to feel
like winter!
Your in rescue, Denise
Bash denise@animallifelineonline.org
P.S.
In a few days, we'll be sending information about
a unique Animal Lifeline fundraiser to be held
this March...get ready to Save the
Date!
P.P.S. We
will be having a 3RD
FRIDAY SALE, 50% OFF instead of 4th Friday
this month -- we're closed on the fourth Friday
for Christmas
Day!

Why, oh why, are these adorable
kittens still at the Animal Lifeline Thrift
Shop?!
A few weeks ago, we had 21 adoptable cats
& kittens in the store. We're down to
only six! But we can't figure out why 4 of
the remaining felines are from the same
litter!
These boys are playful,
affectionate purring machines! They were
lovingly housed by a foster family until they were
old enough to bring into the store. Now they
are "tweens" and past the tripping underfoot
stage, but still full of curiosity and energy
(until afternoon naptime, when they collapse
almost as if on cue!). Adopt one if you have a lot
of attention to give, or take a pair -- they would
keep each other busy and happy in their new
home!
If you would like to add a feline
friend to your home before 2010, please come in to
meet these handsome
boys!
