Your good intentions and willingness to help will be put to good use and appreciated by homeless animals as well as the volunteers who work with them everyday.
There's something we can all do to help homeless companion animals!

Thrift Shop
We generate most of our animal rescue funding through sales at our Thrift Shop in Warrington, PA, so the more volunteers we have here, the better! Can you give us one afternoon a month? One day a week? An hour here and there? We'll find something for you to do!
Take a look at the many different ways you can help, then come visit us at the store, give us a call, 215-343-5050 for more information or to volunteer!
Retail sales - Greet customers, run the register, answer the phone, straighten up the shelves and clothing racks.
Pricing - There are three different ways to help price items we sell in the store:
*Work in the donation intake room pricing individual household items.
*Use the Internet to research prices on more unusual or higher-priced donations.
*Follow the established pricing guide to tag individual clothing items.
Merchandising - If the windows are well dressed and the shelves are neat and inviting to customers, we sell more merchandise.
Cleaning - So much to do, and all of it takes time away from the business of animal rescue, so whatever help we can get in this category is incredibly appreciated!:
* Vacuum and dust the sales floor, clean the sales counters
* Wash dusty donated dishes before they are priced
* Kitchen upkeep
* Office organizer
Animal Care - There are often cats in our store, all up for adoption. Cats and retail don't always mix, and we need volunteers to help:
* Feed & water
* Clean and disinfect cages, bowls, bedding and toys
* Socialization- The more human contact each cat or kitten receives, the more adoptable it becomes. Come in to play & cuddle with our felines!

Pet Food & Supply Drive:
Maybe you can't volunteer on a regular basis. But could you host a pet food and supply drive at your home, school or place of work? Animal Lifeline regularly gives away pet care items to rescues and foster homes that need them, so we are always in need of replenishment. If you can round up any of the following items, we'll take them!
*Dog and cat food, dry or canned
*Bedding (old towels, sheets & blankets, in clean condition)
*Pet toys
*Collars & leashes
*Crates, HAVE-A-HEART TRAPS & BABY GATES
*Kitty litter and litter boxes
*Sponges and cleaning supplies (including bleach for disinfecting)
Events & Fundraising
Are you a self-starter? A great organizer? A party person? Why not plan an event for Animal Lifeline? We've done big and small, high and low dollar, but all fundraising events serve the same purpose -- to generate much-needed revenue for Animal Lifeline while having a good time!
Maybe you can generate funds another way? We've had people donate a portion of the fee they charge for a service or commission, do a bake sale, host a garage sale, sell homemade doggie treats...all great ideas, but let us know if you have a different one you'd like to try!
Transport Drivers:
If you do not have time to foster an animal full-time, perhaps you have an afternoon to help a furry friend get to a safe place?
This opportunity to help save animal lives is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Drivers meet other transport drivers and pick up animals moving out of rescues and shelters, mostly from southern states to northern states. Animals (usually dogs) travel approximately 1.5 to 2 hours or each "leg" of their journey to safe haven before switching to the next automobile and volunteer driver.
New lines in this "railroad" to forever homes are developed all the time based on volunteer availability, so please contact one of our Transport Coordinators if you would like to learn more about becoming part of this integral piece of lifesaving animal rescue:
